Poverty Hollow Primitives is run by Amy & Bob, and have been in business is the early 1990s. When their children were young, they took their love of antiques and primitive decor and started doing craft shows on and off throughout the years.

But as the children got older they found that there just wasn't enough time to continue. Bob served in the Marine Corps for 25 years. After retiring more than 5 years ago and with more time on his hands, they decided it was time to get back to what they both loved.

They really enjoyed what we are doing and it brought their family closer. Their two daughters are now 25 and 22 and both have enjoyed helping get the business off the ground.

In 1995, Amy & Bob began taking custom orders and some consigning.  But by 2007, they started working solely for the business and decided to get back into craft shows. They finally completed the business by adding the website.
